Berrak Denizcilik'e ait 4014 GRT'luk "DEMRE" isimli Türk bayraklı kuru yük gemisi Slovenya'nın Koper Limanı'nda teknik eksikliklerden dolayı beş (5) gün alıkonuldu.
Paris Memorandumu çerçevesinde Slovenya Denizcilik İdaresi PSC müfettişleri tarafından Koper Limanı'nda incelemeye alınan DEMRE isimli kuruyük gemisi 26 Eylül-30 Eylül 2006 tarihleri arasında teknik eksikliklerden dolayı limandan ayrılmasına izin verilmedi.
DEMRE adlı Türk bayraklı kuruyük gemisi 28 Şubat-14 Mart 2006 tarihleri arasında ise İtalya'nın La spezia limanında teknik eksikliklerden dolayı 15 gün tutulmuştu.
Berrak Denizcilik'e ait Demre Gemisinin tutulması ile birlikte Paris Memorandumu çerçevesinde, 2006 yılı içerisinde Avrupa limanlarında tutulan Türk bayraklı gemi sayısı 25 olurken, tutulma sayısı ise 26'ya yükseldi.
